Last year some students of the Royal Agricultural College chose to target charity sites dedicated to the welfare of corvids and also a Facebook page set up to support the aims of Against Corvid Traps. This forced the closure of a couple of the sites. Here we post a few of their comments to show their love of the countryside and wildlife.

The practice of trapping crows has been widely carried out on Scottish 'sporting' estates using Ladder traps. This video shows a trap containing a badly injured crow as well as a healthy one, stagnant water and dead rabbits .

A visitor to this site has briefly looked up pheasants, skylarks and song thrushes to see what they eat. It seems that pheasants eat the natural food source of songbirds. With 40million pheasants released each year as live targets the effect on songbirds natural food must be staggering.

According to the Facebook group 'Save Our Song Birds', their site has been: "...setup to highlight the damaging effect the Bird of Prey population is having on our songbirds in the UK. Birds of Prey have been increasing in numbers for years, whereas the song bird popualtion has been deteriorating."
